Senior AIML Platform & Infra Engineer for Scale & Search

We design and build infrastructures to enable features that empower billions of Apple users. Our team processes trillions of links to find the best content to surface to users through search. We also analyze pages to extract critical features for indexing, ranking. We apply statistical analysis and machine learning technologies to improve link selection, freshness, retrieval rates, extraction quality, and many others. You’ll have the opportunity to work with large scale systems with trillions of rows and many petabytes of data and incredible complexity. Minimum Qualifications Strong background in computer science: algorithms, data structures and system design 20+ years experience on large scale distributed system design, operation and optimization 5+ years Experience in architecting large search systems Preferred Qualifications Excellent skills in cross-team and cross-functional communication and collaboration Excellent skills in navigating complex environment and making decisions Excellent interpersonal skills able to work independently as well as in a team Education & Experience MS or PhD in Computer Science or related experience Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $199,800 and $364,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
