Role Overview
The Director of Labor & Delivery will provide strategic and operational leadership, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, and compassionate care for mothers, newborns, and families. This role is responsible for overseeing clinical operations, staff development, compliance, and quality improvement initiatives while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee Labor & Delivery department operations
- Drive quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
- Mentor and develop nursing and clinical staff
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and neonatal teams
- Manage staffing, budgeting, and departmental resources
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) - Required
- Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field - Required
- Minimum 10 years of Labor & Delivery clinical experience
- Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership/management experience
- Active Colorado RN License (or ability to obtain)
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
- Additional maternal/neonatal certifications preferred
