About This Role The Assistant Manager, Patient Care (RN) in the CCU/Coronary Care Unit is responsible for managing team members and patient care activities during assigned shifts, ensuring high-quality patient and family-centered care. Highlights Location: Staten Island, NY Facility: Northwell Health Schedule: Full-Time, Day shift What You’ll Do Manage and lead team members, operations, and patient care activities within a patient care unit during assigned shift. Collaborate with team members and nursing management in developing methods and techniques for patient care. Communicate, build consensus, and guide team members toward achieving department objectives. Promote and maintain high-quality patient and family-centered care in a healing environment. Create a professional work environment that encourages respect, engagement, accountability, and optimal patient outcomes. Provide direction and guidance to patient care unit team members during assigned shift. Conduct performance reviews and provide input into hiring, promotions, and corrective actions. Educate team members in new and existing department procedures and systems. Ensure adherence to the established care delivery model and standards of practice. Facilitate compliance with regulations and standards. Requirements Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required. Experience: 4-6 years of nursing experience required; 0-2 years of leadership/management experience required. Licenses & Certifications: Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State required; Specialized certifications as needed.
