This role works directly with USTRANSCOM stakeholders, business process owners, SAP functional teams, and software developers supporting the Joint Transportation Management System (JTMS), the Department of Defense's enterprise SAP S/4HANA platform for transportation, logistics, procurement, and supply chain operations. It is an opportunity to apply SAP Procure-to-Pay and Materials Management expertise to support critical national defense missions while modernizing enterprise procurement, inventory, and logistics capabilities.

Work is primarily performed on-site at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois, supporting government and contractor teams in mission-focused environments.

Position Summary

C5T is seeking an SAP Functional Consultant - Procure to Pay (PTP) / Materials Management (MM) to support the Joint Transportation Management System (JTMS), USTRANSCOM's enterprise SAP S/4HANA platform supporting global transportation, logistics, procurement, inventory, financial management, and supply chain operations. This position serves as a functional expert responsible for designing, configuring, implementing, testing, and sustaining SAP Procure-to-Pay and Materials Management capabilities supporting Department of Defense transportation and logistics operations.

The SAP Functional Consultant partners with government stakeholders, business process owners, SAP developers, and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into effective SAP solutions while ensuring integration across procurement, finance, transportation, warehousing, and enterprise supply chain processes. This role supports business process analysis, system configuration, testing, documentation, production support, and continuous improvement within an Agile software development environment.

Location: Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. Work will primarily take place in government workspaces with limited telework based on mission requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and support SAP S/4HANA Procure-to-Pay (PTP) and Materials Management (MM) functionality.

• Analyze business requirements and translate operational needs into functional designs, system configurations, and technical specifications.

• Support end-to-end procurement business processes including requisition management, purchase orders, source determination, vendor master data, material master data, inventory management, goods receipt, invoice verification, stock transfers, physical inventory, and procurement reporting.

• Configure purchasing organizations, purchasing groups, plants, storage locations, valuation areas, and account determination.

• Support the complete procurement lifecycle from purchase requisition through payment.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to improve procurement efficiency and enterprise supply chain operations.

• Develop Functional Design Documents (FDDs), business process documentation, configuration guides, user guides, and training materials.

• Prepare functional specifications for Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflows (RICEFW).

• Collaborate with SAP ABAP developers to support custom enhancements and interface development.

• Execute unit, system integration, regression, and user acceptance testing while supporting defect analysis and resolution.

• Support data migration activities for vendor, material, purchasing, pricing, and inventory master data.

• Analyze production issues and provide Tier II and Tier III application support.

• Participate in Agile software development activities including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.

• Assist with software release planning, deployment activities, and post-production stabilization.

• Support Authority to Operate (ATO), cybersecurity, audit, and compliance activities.

• Prepare and communicate technical and functional information to stakeholders.

• Maintain compliance with security, documentation, and program requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Procure-to-Pay (PTP) and Materials Management (MM) configuration and business processes.

• Experience supporting procurement operations, purchasing, inventory management, material master, vendor master, invoice verification, stock management, and procurement reporting.

• Experience implementing or supporting SAP S/4HANA environments.

• Experience developing functional specifications for custom SAP enhancements.

• Experience supporting testing, production support, and system enhancement activities.

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• Minimum five (5) years of SAP functional experience supporting Procure-to-Pay (PTP) and Materials Management (MM).

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

• U.S. Citizenship required.

• Ability to work on-site at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois.

Desired Qualifications

• Experience supporting Department of Defense or Federal ERP modernization programs.

• Experience with SAP Activate implementation methodology.

• Experience working within Agile or Scrum software development environments.

• Experience integrating Procure-to-Pay (PTP) and Materials Management (MM) with Financial Accounting (FI), Controlling (CO), Funds Management (FM), Sales & Distribution (SD), Transportation Management (TM), Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), and Global Trade Services (GTS).

• Familiarity with SAP Fiori applications.

• Experience using SAP Cloud ALM or SAP Solution Manager.

• Experience supporting large-scale logistics and supply chain modernization initiatives.

• Understanding of transportation, logistics, procurement, inventory management, and enterprise business processes supporting USTRANSCOM or other Department of Defense organizations.

• Current or active Secret security clearance.

• Experience supporting SAP S/4HANA Procure-to-Pay and Materials Management capabilities within Department of Defense ERP modernization programs.

• SAP Certified Application Associate - SAP S/4HANA Materials Management certification.

• SAP S/4HANA Procurement certification.

• Agile Scrum certification (CSM, SAFe, or equivalent).
