About the role CBH Medical is looking to directly hire a Registered Nurse for the medical department at Meherrin River Regional Jail. Corrections experience is a plus. What you'll do Assess the physical, psychological, and social needs of patients and provide written assessments upon admission, during confinement, and at discharge Obtain health histories, summarize assessment data, and make triage decisions that are documented and communicated to the care team Develop and implement individualized treatment programs utilizing approved protocols as directed by the Medical Director Administer medications using proper techniques including IV therapy and all other approved routes; obtain diagnostic tests per physician orders Implement nutrition and therapeutic diet plans as ordered and refer patients to appropriate providers as needed Document all nursing encounters using SOAP charting and communicate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, correctional officers, and department heads Provide leadership to nursing staff, identify problems, and recommend improvements in patient care, procedures, and equipment Participate in quality assurance chart reviews, in-service education, and support all OSHA and employee safety programs Perform within the limits of the state practice act, Code of Ethics for Nurses, and all CBH Medical policies and procedures Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned Qualifications Currently licensed Registered Nurse in the state where duties are performed (Required) BLS/CPR Certification (Required) Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program; Baccalaureate degree preferred but not required Minimum two years of clinical experience Dental insurance with a generous orthodontic credit Vision insurance Company-paid life insurance and extensive ancillary coverage options Paid time off Employee assistance program (EAP) Continuing education credits Referral program Job Type: Full-time (8 Hour Shifts) Night Shift (6:00pm - 6:30am) #J-18808-Ljbffr CBH Medical
