Opportunity awaits! Join our dynamic Engagement Team in the Warm Springs Self Sufficiency Office and make a meaningful impact as a Family Coach! Summary of Duties Conduct interviews to determine family needs and eligibility, and complete program applications for program benefits and, if eligible, issues appropriate support. Engage clients in family evaluation of strengths and jointly develop a case plan and identify the steps the family will take towards self-sufficiency and meeting their basic needs. Monitor progress, needs, and makes necessary modifications to the case plan. Initiate and participate in case staffing, employment readiness, life skills training, and supports job search as needed. Assist with crisis and safety planning for individuals experiencing domestic violence. Explore alternate resources and link clients to community services and may also assist with supporting resources and services within the community. Minimum Qualifications A Bachelor's degree in a Behavioral Science, Social Science, or a closely related field OR A Bachelor's degree in any field and one year of human services related experience (i.e., work providing assistance to individuals and groups with issues such as economically disadvantaged, employment, abuse and neglect, substance abuse, aging, disabilities, prevention, health, cultural competencies, inadequate housing) An Associates degree in a Behavioral Science, Social Science or a closely related field AND two years of human services related experience (i.e., work providing assistance to individuals and groups with issues such as economically disadvantaged, employment, abuse and neglect, substance abuse, aging, disabilities, prevention, health, cultural competencies, inadequate housing) Three years of human services related experience (i.e., work providing assistance to individuals and groups with issues such as economically disadvantaged, employment, abuse and neglect, substance abuse, aging, disabilities, prevention, health, cultural competencies, inadequate housing). Essential Attributes Experience supporting families with case management tools and resources. Experience creating and maintaining written documentation of activities concerning individual client cases. Experience with case management and assessing customers’ strengths & service needs. Experience in communicating, establishing boundaries and setting realistic goals/milestones. Experience explaining complex rules, regulations, processes, and procedures both verbally and in written communications. Working Conditions Your work schedule will be 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. PST, Monday – Friday. This position is in a store-front office. Hours of work may vary from day to day and may include evenings and weekends. This position requires flexibility to work various hours, to flex in/out to allow for attending local events. The role requires flexibility to assist various district offices on a temporary and long‑term basis, ensuring continuity of operations. You will be working is fast paced at times. High volume of individual and family contact. You will be exposed to a diverse range of customers and will need to respond with compassion and professionalism through a cultural and trauma informed lens. You will have contact with a range of people including some who may be experiencing emotional and financial stress. You will work with domestic violence survivors. These situations may be stressful and understanding self-care and available resources are important. Employee's work is conducted in offices, participant's homes, and other community sites.
