Position Summary: 

Responsible for all aspects of shipping and receiving, ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and condition of all shipments. Also responsible for providing outstanding customer service by processing online orders promptly and accurately in accordance with Tootsies standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Shipping & Receiving

• Assist with loading and unloading trucks as needed.
• Inspect items for defects and damage during shipping.
• Report defective items or questionable conditions to management.
• Record shortages, lost shipments, and other discrepancies; report missing items to management.
• Accurately prepare items for shipment and determine the best shipping method.
• Prepare and assemble containers for outgoing shipments.
• Process incoming receipts, including unpacking, preparing hangers, steaming, and related tasks.
• Respond promptly to company email correspondence.
• Ensure all back areas are clean, organized, and well-maintained.
• Follow loss prevention protocols, department policies and procedures, and safety guidelines as directed by store management or corporate.
• Maintain a professional and supportive relationship with team members and provide backup support as business needs require.
• Assist with recurring physical inventory counts.
• Perform additional responsibilities as business needs evolve.

Order Fulfillment

• Proactively monitor and print online order requests for fulfillment throughout the shift.
• Collect merchandise from the sales floor and accurately match items to orders with speed and accuracy.
• For Farfetch orders: Once stock is located, transfer merchandise, ensure accurate processing in Runit/STORM, attach security tags, and print shipping documents.
• For Tootsies e-commerce orders: Once stock is located, ensure accurate processing in Sqquid, attach security tags, and print shipping documents.
• Print shipping labels for e-commerce orders using Sqquid.
• Verify that all outgoing merchandise is in excellent condition and includes complete brand packaging and presentation.
• Prepare and assemble containers for shipment.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in shipping and receiving preferred.
• Strong computer skills required.
• Knowledge of UPS and FedEx operations preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrates professionalism, courtesy, and a friendly demeanor.
• Ability to multitask, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and store events, as required in a retail environment.

Physical Demands:

• Speaking/Hearing:  Ability to communicate information.
• Standing:  Remain upright on feet for sustained periods of time.
• Walking:  Ability to move throughout the store and department.
• Flexibility including repetitive bending, stretching and lifting.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, ability to move/carry product.
• Visual acuity to perform an activity such as viewing a computer terminal.
• Use of hands and fingers to handle or feel.

Education:

• High School education or equivalent.
