Southridge Behavioral Hospital is a beautiful and new state-of-the-art facility. As a joint venture with the Trinity Health System and Universal Health Services, we serve up to 96 adult and geriatric patients across four units. We believe that caring, dedicated and valued staff provide exceptional patient care. We are seeking high caliber applicants that will provide innovative and evidence-based care focused on our patient's individual needs, comfort and safety. The Activity/Recreation Therapist is responsible to assess, educate and develop recreational, social, leisure and daily living skills. The Recreation Therapist is responsible for planning and implementing unit activity services for assigned program, which involves defining and implementing treatment goals as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team and providing continuous patient care, observation, interaction, and role modeling to patients. Flexible Per Diem options, but an ideal candidate would be open to some weekend coverage each month. We are located on the south side of Grand Rapids, near the intersection of M-6 and Byron Center Ave SW: 6291 Venture Hills Boulevard SW, Byron Center, MI 49315.

Job Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's Degree required.
• Experience: A minimum of three years' experience in a psychiatric health-care facility preferred.
• License/Certification: CTRS from the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation or Board Certification in Art, Movement or Music Therapy.
