As part of HVAC Cooling, SPX Cooling Technologies is a leader in high quality industrial HVAC equipment used to cool large facilities like hospitals, data centers, and power plants. With cooling towers, fans, and refrigeration units, companies rely on brands like Marley, Recold, and SGS to provide comfort and mission critical and industrial cooling solutions. Shifts: 2nd Shift: 4:30pm - 1:00am with daily and weekend OT as needed. Pay Rate: $27.81 Plus Shift Differential for 2nd & 3rd Shifts: $2.00 per hour

What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities) The position will be responsible for putting the stock in its proper place within the warehouse area, storage area, and retrieve items as needed. The position may assume additional duties as assigned. The successful incumbent will be detail oriented, able to follow instructions well, and work well in a team atmosphere. While each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be:

• Perform preventative maintenance on the assigned forklift at the beginning of the shift
• Proficiently and safely picks, packs, stages, and/or moves product to the stock/hold areas
• Performs inquiry functions related to orders and/or materials utilizing the computer inventory control system
• Completes associated documentation as required
• Safely operates a forklift

Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to correctly and safely use hand tools (both manual and pneumatic)
• Ability to read a tape measure in metric and imperial standards
• Ability to read effectively from a computer screen and/or paper copy
• Ability to handle a large volume of work and perform multiple tasks
• Ability to work within precise limits and/or standards of accuracy
• Ability to multi-task
• Ability to work well with others
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to follow and understand directions

Education & experience:

• High school diploma or GED not required but preferred
• Forklift license not required but preferred

Physical requirements:

• Lifting up to 50 pounds; 50+ pounds with assistance
• Sitting, standing, walking, bending, grasping, pushing, pulling, crawling, climbing, twisting, reaching, working at heights, and using a ladder as required
• Ability of use both hands overhead
• Perform repetitive motions
• Plant environment with potential exposure to all types of weather, including excessive heat, excessive cold, and excessive noise
