ProtoTRAK Machinist (1st Shift, Monday‑Friday) Pay: $25‑$30 per hour. Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM. Responsibilities Program and Operate Machines : Use ProtoTRAK milling machines and lathes to create plastic components per technical drawings and job specifications. Tool Selection and Settings : Choose appropriate tooling and machine settings for different plastic materials, optimizing efficiency and precision. Quality Assurance : Conduct first‑piece inspections and monitor production to meet quality standards and tolerances. Adjust for Material Properties : Modify feeds, speeds, and tooling to suit materials like acrylic, PVC, and polycarbonate, ensuring top‑notch surface finish and dimensional accuracy. Machine Maintenance : Perform preventive maintenance tasks such as cleaning and lubricating ProtoTRAK machines to maintain peak performance. Record Keeping : Maintain accurate records of production runs, tooling changes, and machine maintenance activities. Collaboration : Work closely with production and engineering teams to troubleshoot issues and enhance machining processes for plastic materials.
