AssemblerShift: (Monday- Friday) 1st shift 6:00am- 2:40pmPay Range: $20.50- $24.00 per hourPosition Description:Assemblers perform various tasks here at Wabash that vary from location to location. We have Assemblers that are responsible for anything from installing and assembling subassemblies and component parts to operating rivet punchers to installing decals and much more in between.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: As mentioned above Assemblers can be responsible for a multitude of things, below are examples of the type of duties you could be responsible for:Own and help improve are Safety, Quality, and Delivery, performanceKeeping their work area free of any potential work hazardsCaulking materialsMeasuring and cutting materialInstalling rivetsOperating heavy machineryInstalling truck bed flooringFollowing decal templates/ blueprintsInstall signs, reflectors, fenders, mud flaps and other associated partsPerforms additional work as assigned by the Supervisor or Team leader. This may require the employee to flex into another departmentWear approved personal protective equipment such as safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses with side shields, respirators, hearing protection, etc.Complete assigned duties in accordance with safety policies and practices. However, it's not required, here at Wabash, we give you the training to become comfortable in any Assembler position. The employee needs full range of motion in their arms and hands in this position. All Assemblers must be able to successfully communicate with fellow employees as well. Some Assemblers also work in small spaces throughout their shift and frequently lift and/or carry objects up to 50 pounds.
