Position Special Education Teacher - Secondary Learning Support 1.0 FTE (Contract Eligible with proper PDE Certification*). Location Unami Middle School Availability 2026-2027 School Year (Date Available: 08/24/2026). Compensation Salary according to CBEA Agreement. Description The successful candidate will have a solid ability to prepare, direct, and deliver instruction to students in special needs classes. The candidate must be able to demonstrate knowledge of content, pedagogy, and Pennsylvania’s Academic Standards. The role will involve utilization of crisis prevention techniques/strategies (including possible restraint as a last resort) with students who require such in their IEP. Training will be provided via CBSD. Requirements Bachelor’s Degree and PA Special Education 7-12 certification (content area certificate required for issuance). Bachelor’s Degree and PA Special Education PK-12 (certificate discontinued 8/31/2013; content area certificate required). If applicant requires a PDE Emergency Permit, contract eligibility is not applicable, and the vacancy becomes a Long Term Substitute position.
