Memorial Advisor For Our Lady Of The Holy Rosary Catholic CemeteryThe Diocese of Orlando is hiring for a Memorial Advisor for Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery in Oxford, Florida. The Memorial Advisor/Family Service Coordinator will be a member of a team that serves all at-need Families by scheduling burial services for those served by the Cemetery. The Memorial Advisor/Family Service Coordinator establishes and maintains a comprehensive pool of Catholic Presiders for burial services. This role presents list of potential Presiders to Cemetery Manager for review and approval bi-annually. This role is responsible for scheduling Catholic Presiders for burial services. This role serves as a Presider only in the event of an emergency or unusual circumstance when a Catholic Presider is unavailable.Expectations include:Maintaining a list of and scheduling Catholic priests to preside over the monthly Memorial Mass in collaboration with the diocesan Office of Senior Priests.Providing guidance and counseling to the families and individuals served by the Cemetery Facilitate an individual or family's introduction to an appropriate Catholic CommunityArranging and schedule presentations of Cemetery Services and Catholic Burial Rites at Catholic Parishes and other venuesAdvocating and administering the Kingdom of Heaven MinistryAdvocating and administering the Peace in Christ MinistryProviding other services for the Cemetery and Staff as directed by the Cemetery ManagerCreating and sustaining an environment of exceptional service to the families and communities served through the Cemetery, including timely communication with all partiesSupport sales and marketing campaignsAccountable to meet performance goalsSustaining a mutually supportive teamwork environmentCompliance with State regulations, rules and licensing requirements; particularly in the obtaining and recording of required documentationKnowledge of the Catholic faith, rituals, and traditions; especially those relating to end of life, funeral, burial and our hope in the ResurrectionEssential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Assist individuals and families with making burial arrangementsWork with Diocesan Clergy and Funeral Directors to facilitate the planning and carrying out of burialsHandle situations with individuals and families with compassion and understanding and ensure that all appropriate needs are met or exceededPrepare, review and process all required documentation and data entry necessary to the carrying out of burials through the Cemetery's automated systemCreate and sustain networking and cemetery ministry related activities with the community (parishes, funeral homes and other organizations), record same through the Cemetery's automated systemPerform Memorial Advisor services and duties as requiredPerform day-to-day administrative duties as requiredOther duties as assigned by the Cemetery ManagerQualifications:Be an Ordained Deacon of the Diocese of Orlando; or a Deacon with faculties to serve in the Orlando DioceseHigh School diploma or equivalentQualify for a Preneed Sale License issued by the Florida Division of Funeral, Cemetery, and Consumer Services DivisionHigh level of compassion and integrityIn depth understanding of and the ability to convey Catholic theology, teachings and practices related to the end of life and our hope in the ResurrectionAbove average communications (oral and written), listening and office administration skillsDemonstrated proficiency in problem solving skillsAbility to multi-task and set prioritiesTwo or more years of experience in the use of mobile computing devices and use of automated business systemsBilingual in Spanish and English is preferredValid driver's license and automobile insurance coverage as per policyWorking conditions:The working hours of this position are not limited to an 8-hour dayMust be available in the evenings and weekends, as scheduled or as neededMust be willing to work in conditions of stress and function well under pressureUse of personal automobile (mileage will be reimbursed per policy)Standing and walking on uneven surfacesStooping, crouching and kneelingReaching forward and overheadAcknowledgment: The preceding job description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this classification.
