As a contract professional, you'll make a difference in the lives of 17 students in a collaborative, student-focused environment.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Experience working with high school students in an educational setting
• Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to tailor instructional approaches for students with varying learning needs

Responsibilities Include:

• Providing targeted reading instruction to students as indicated in their IEPs (not all students require these minutes)
• Collaborating with a fellow high school special education teacher, who focuses on math, to ensure comprehensive support for the student group
• Acting as case manager for 8 students, overseeing progress, documentation, and coordination with related service providers
• Delivering executive functioning minutes as needed, based on individual IEP requirements
• Creating an inclusive and supportive classroom culture, with minimal behavioral challenges
• Maintaining regular school hours from 7:55 am to 3:15 pm
