Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team. The Automotive Technician is responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing a variety of customer vehicles while ensuring all work is completed efficiently, accurately, and according to company and industry standards.

This role works closely with Service Advisors, Shop Foremen, and management to deliver excellent service and maintain a productive, team-oriented work environment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on a variety of vehicle makes and models
• Perform routine maintenance services including oil changes, tire rotations, brake services, inspections, and fluid checks
• Use diagnostic tools, software, and electronic systems to identify and troubleshoot vehicle concerns
• Repair or replace defective vehicle components and systems
• Document all work performed, recommended repairs, and parts used within the shop management system
• Communicate clearly with Service Advisors regarding vehicle status, repair recommendations, and additional service needs
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards
• Properly maintain shop equipment and tools
• Participate in ongoing training and certification programs to stay current with automotive technology and repair procedures

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Minimum 2 years of automotive repair experience
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Strong understanding of automotive mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems
• Experience using diagnostic tools and repair equipment
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks associated with automotive repair
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

Preferred Qualifications

• ASE Certification(s)
• Experience with digital vehicle inspection systems
• Familiarity with both domestic and import vehicles
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Vocational or technical automotive training is a plus

Work Environment

This position works primarily in an indoor automotive shop environment with exposure to noise, machinery, automotive fluids, chemicals, and moving vehicles. Occasional overtime may be required based on business needs.
