The Occupational Therapist will deliver comprehensive occupational therapy services to patients, which includes conducting screenings and evaluations, creating treatment plans, implementing treatments, reassessing and revising plans, re-evaluating patients, planning for discharge, and maintaining documentation. Additionally, the Occupational Therapist will engage in program planning and protocol development as needed, supporting the team in achieving set objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct evaluation services, which involve reviewing relevant historical data, performing specific assessments, and making recommendations while documenting results. Clearly communicate evaluation outcomes and treatment plans to patients and their families, involving them in the goal-setting process.

• Exhibit expertise in executing treatment protocols based on evaluation results, the patient's condition, and the changing healthcare landscape. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as necessary. Identify and document any changes in the patient's condition that may require adjustments to the care plan or additional medical/rehabilitation consultations.

• Ensure thorough discharge planning and follow-up care. Document and charge for patient care activities accurately and promptly, reflecting the evolving healthcare environment. This includes a detailed initial evaluation/plan of care that sets baselines and goals, clear daily encounter notes, interim progress summaries, and discharge evaluations.

• Demonstrate effective time management skills and meet productivity targets. Maintain an accurate schedule. Show a professional commitment to providing seamless patient access to care through flexibility, adaptability, creativity, and empathetic behaviors in a patient-centered environment.

• Proactively seek and engage in continuing education for personal and organizational growth and competency. Act as a clinical instructor for students and assist in the orientation and mentoring of new staff, students, volunteers, and technicians.

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.

• Licensure in Maryland, the District of Columbia (DC), and/or Virginia as required for your specific location(s).

• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.

This position offers a salary range of: USD $74,214.00 - USD $134,596.00 per year.
