Associate Veterinarian

Job Description

Job Description

Want a role that offers more than routine wellness appointments, without giving up the relationships that make general practice rewarding?

This opportunity in the Pacific Northwest blends companion-animal wellness with same-day urgent care and a broader range of medical and surgical cases. It could suit a veterinarian who enjoys making clinical decisions, wants to keep expanding their skills, and appreciates having experienced colleagues available to collaborate and share knowledge.

The schedule is designed around approximately 30 hours per week, making this an option worth exploring if you're looking for a full-time position with fewer scheduled hours than a traditional 40-hour week.

What You'll Find Here

• A more varied caseload: Combine preventive care with urgent presentations, internal medicine, and surgery.
• Learn alongside experienced clinicians: Work with veterinarians who bring urgent-care, emergency, and surgical experience to the team.
• Build your clinical confidence: Mentorship and professional development can help you continue strengthening your approach to cases.
• Stay connected to clients: Develop ongoing relationships with pet owners while helping them navigate both routine needs and unexpected health concerns.
• Access to referral resources: Collaboration with outside specialty providers supports cases that need additional expertise.
• A different weekly rhythm: Approximately 30 hours per week offers a distinctive schedule compared with many conventional full-time veterinary roles.

What You'll Be Doing

This is a companion-animal position combining general wellness care and urgent appointments, with opportunities in internal medicine and surgery. The clinical environment includes diagnostic imaging and surgical capabilities to support patient assessment and treatment.

You should enjoy adapting to different presentations, communicating clearly with clients, and collaborating with colleagues when cases call for another perspective.
