Center Store Supervisor

Center store responsibilities include grocery, frozen, and dairy operations. Writes or supervises grocery, frozen, dairy, and general merchandise orders. Executes sales message, execution list, and tackle for all center store departments. Coaches team on basic merchandising fundamentals. Manages ordering and CGO processes, stocking, rotation, receiving, damage, space management, signage, facing, and backroom organization. Writes weekly schedules and conducts weekly department head meetings. Responsible for safe, cash, and bookkeeping.

CGO champion responsibilities include a full understanding of the CGO process, ensuring CGO is functioning for all center store departments, and supporting other departments in their CGO processes and understanding.

Bonus calculations are based on condition scores of grocery, general merchandise, dairy, and frozen, and team member engagement scores based on center store employees scores.

Store supervision includes participating in open communication with team members, promoting a high level of morale, encouraging teamwork, building knowledge and skills through training, complying with company policies, promoting a harassment-free environment, ensuring proper orientation and training, maintaining safety and accident prevention policies, adhering to team members' appearance and dress code, aiding in the development and growth of store team members, ensuring timely and effective store team member evaluations, maintaining good order and productivity, coordinating with all departments, maximizing department sales and profits, practicing self-development, maintaining adequate records for store operations, coaching executive staff, utilizing authority for effective store operation, maintaining control of inventories, ensuring store equipment is in good working order, conducting weekly management, departmental, store, and company meetings.

Requirements include certificates/licenses for operation of forklift and/or pallet jack, communication skills, computer skills including MS Excel, Word, Google Sheets and Docs, equipment operation, previous retail management experience, basic math skills, minimum age of 18, and 21 for selling tobacco products and/or alcohol. Ability to apply common sense understanding to instructions and resolve team member or guest concerns.
