Guest Service Representative

Urban Bar & KitchenHospitality, Full Time, $15.00 per hourLocation: 2321 University Blvd, Tuscaloosa, AL, 35401Core ResponsibilitiesStation Prep: Set up and stock assigned kitchen stations with all necessary supplies, ingredients, and equipment before service begins.Recipe Execution: Prepare and cook menu items (appetizers, entrees, and desserts) according to the head chef's recipes, portion controls, and presentation standards.Speed & Timing: Coordinate with the rest of the kitchen staff to ensure that all dishes for a table are completed simultaneously and served in a timely manner.Quality Control: Monitor food freshness, check meat temperatures, and ensure every dish looks and tastes perfect before it leaves the pass.Sanitation & Safety: Adhere to all health, nutrition, and sanitation regulations, including safe food-handling practices.Station Breakdown: Complete end-of-shift cleaning, store leftovers at proper dates and temperatures, and prepare for the next service.Key Skills & QualificationsExperience: 1 - 3 years of proven experience in a fast-paced professional kitchen, hotel, or restaurant.Culinary Knowledge: Solid understanding of various cooking methods (e.g., grilling, sautéing, frying), classic recipes, and proficient knife-handling skills.Work Under Pressure: Ability to remain calm, multitask, and communicate effectively during busy rushes.Physical Stamina: Capacity to stand, bend, and move for long shifts of 8 to 10 hours.Lifting Requirement: Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 50 lbs.Certifications: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
