Location: Sparks, NV

Duration: 11 Months

Job Description:

• Responsible for the coordination and completion of project/program. Oversees all aspects of projects/program. Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of project/program.
• Prepares reports for upper management regarding status of project/program. May require a bachelor's degree and at least 7 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
• Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
• Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.

Review of Business Group:

• Data center

Purpose of the Team and key projects:

• Mix of electrical and mechanical engineers, commissioning of the data centers, review design docs and walk down equipment, make sur operating correctly and provide feedback if anything needs fixed or updated.

Team culture:

• Data center environment, cross functional collaboration

Why is the position open:

• Extra hands to support data center projects.

Daily schedule:

• M- F 7-4 or 8-4

OT, Weekend, or Holiday schedule:

• Potential for some OT, no weekend work

Task Breakdown and Workflow:

• Reviewing design docs and test scripts,

Internal Team interactions:

• Independent role with own team, work with partner teams at the site to complete tasks, sub contractors, vendors

Candidate Requirements:

Must Have Hard Skills:

• Mechanical or electrical engineering
• PM
• Controls background
• Microsoft suite experience

Nice to haves:

• Commission experience
• Data center experience.
• Construction MEP experience

Required:

• Commissioning 2-4 years
• Commissioning coordination 1-2 years
• Electrical design 1-2 years
• Electrical engineering 1-2 years
• Mechanical engineering 1-2 years

Years of Experience:

• 5-6 years of experience total in electrical, mechanical, project management or data center commissions.

Degree/ Certification Requirements:

• Minimum of HSD if have experience. Bachelors preferred if newer to field or at minimum years of experience

What background does someone have that is successful in this role:

• Mechanical or electrical engineering background with PM, controls and commissioning experience.
