Recreation Aide

We are looking for an energetic, compassionate, and positive Recreation Aide to join our busy Activities Department. No previous experience is required—we provide on-the-job training!

Schedule:

Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday

• Lead social, recreational, and leisure activities in individual and group settings.

• Encourage residents to participate in activities based on their interests, abilities, and preferences.

• Help create meaningful programs that promote residents’ quality of life, independence, and self-esteem.

• Assist the Activity Director with planning and coordinating the monthly activity calendar.

• Prepare activity areas and organize necessary supplies.

• Document resident attendance, participation, and responses to activities.

• Develop positive and respectful relationships with residents, families, and team members.

• Assist residents during activities while maintaining their dignity, safety, and comfort.

• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Activity Director.

• No previous experience required.

• Energetic, patient, compassionate, creative, and dependable.

• Enjoys working with older adults and creating a fun, welcoming environment.

• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and time-management skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Willingness to work scheduled weekends and holidays as needed.
