Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) Nurse to provide specialized care for critically ill pediatric cardiac patients. The ideal candidate will have experience in ECMO management and be adaptable to float across various ICU settings.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and assess patients' cardiovascular status, including ECMO circuit management.
• Adjust ECMO support to ensure optimal organ perfusion and oxygenation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with extracorporeal circuit components during emergencies.
• Administer fluids and blood products as directed by physicians via ECMO.
• Maintain appropriate anticoagulation levels according to protocol.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate patient mobility and recovery.

Qualifications:

• Valid California RN license or ETA with an expected posting date.
• Minimum of 2 years pediatric ICU experience, with preference given to those with ECMO training.
• BLS and PALS certification required.
• Experience with pediatric and adult ECMO management.
• Ability to float within scope to CTICU, PICU, and NICU.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in extracorporeal life support systems.
