About the Position

We are actively hiring an experienced Registered Nurse - Med/Surg  for one of our clients, a leading Cardiovascular Surgery Department within an Acute Care OR setting. This role involves assisting in cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgeries in a fast-paced surgical environment.

You will work closely with cardiothoracic and vascular surgeons, playing a critical role in surgical procedures, patient care, and operating room support.

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Med/Surg

Unit: RNFA - CV Surgery Department

Duration: 13 Weeks with possible extension
Shift: Day Shift – 4x10 Hours (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)

Location:  Lansing, MI 48912

Pay Range: Weekly ($2,700 – $3,000)

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons during cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures
• Perform endoscopic vein harvesting and radial artery harvesting
• Support CABG, EVAR, vascular bypass grafts, aneurysm repairs, and other cardiovascular procedures
• Maintain sterile field and ensure OR safety standards
• Provide intraoperative and perioperative patient support
• Participate in weekday and weekend on-call rotation
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Pay Rate: Negotiable based on experience

Requirements

• Active RN License 
• AHA BLS
• AHA ACLS
• Active CRNFA Certification required
  Acute Hospital OR experience required
  Experience with cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgeries preferred
  Endoscopic vein harvesting experience required
  Ability to take OR call and weekend rotation
  First-time travelers accepted
  Strong communication and teamwork skills required
