H11A AFS Annual Salary $52,642.81 + Full State Employee Benefits

Travel is occasional. Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain required car insurance.

Minimum Qualifications

• A master’s degree and three years of professional experience in social work, child support, adult protective services, child welfare, early childhood development and education, guidance and counseling, nursing, intellectual disability, probation and parole, public administration, community-based prevention, and diversionary youth services programs, juvenile justice, rehabilitation counseling, vocational evaluation or vocational rehabilitation;
• OR an equivalent combination and experience, substituting 1 additional year of qualifying experience for each year of the required education.

*Professional experience in the fields listed must have been the primary job responsibility to be considered as qualifying. Incidental performance of professional work in any area(s) shall not be considered.

Job Responsibilities:

• Position serves as a liaison with the School Based Services team assisting in outreach services to at-risk students and families in the schools by increasing awareness of available OKDHS and community resources.
• Assists field staff with collaborative initiatives to strengthen the well-being and educational outcomes of children and youth through targeted and effective school based prevention services.
• Gathers staff input at all levels, including external stakeholders.
• Distributes info gathered during reviews and back to teams in a uniform manner and works with district offices to develop improvement plans.
• Mentors staff to increase the skill level of staff and management for better outcomes for children and families.

Preference:

Preference may be given to applicants who have at least two years of School Based Program experience.
