Job Description Company: The Best Roofing company of it's kind in the Detroit and Grand Rapids markets. 30 Year old family-owned business providing roof replacement, storm restoration, siding and gutters with over 750 4.8 Star Ratings. Position: Director of HR The Human Resources Manager will play an active role with our administration, implementing various aspects of human resources management-such as labor relations, staffing, performance management, wellness, workers compensation and payroll. Duties and Responsibilities Act as a resource for managers dealing with employees and advice on legal requirements, internal policies and procedures. Lead the prompt resolution of employee relations issues and initiate proactive measures to minimize related matters Participate in the investigation and resolution of on-going employee relations problems, anticipate problems whenever possible, and develop, recommend and initiate appropriate steps for resolution. Ensure that the process of performance appraisal is completed according to established rules. Develop and maintain reporting tools and techniques to capture and distribute meaningful data and metrics related to HR areas Represent human resources in different meetings. Compile data, statistics and other information, including doing research, if necessary Required Skills A minimum of 5-7 years of consistent HR Management role. Extensive experience in HR legislation, benefits & payroll.
