Production Planner I

The Fountain Group is currently seeking a Production Planning Clerk for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Scarborough, ME. Details for the position are as follows:
Job Description:
- $19.00 - $21.00/HR based on experience, W2
- 6 month contract initially (Potential to extend/convert to perm based on performance/budget) (100% onsite)
- Responsible for:
- Work with Manufacturing to ensure supply plan and schedule optimizes manufacturing productivity
- Responsible for creating daily production orders for continuous production needs.
- Communicate supply plan to key stakeholders including Manufacturing, Engineering
- Create and communicate weekly schedule updates
- Maintain accuracy of Planning information in MRP system (SAP)
- Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement in Planning and Scheduling processes
- Other miscellaneous responsibilities as may be assigned
- General ability in maintaining Microsoft excel files
Qualifications:

- Minimum HSD/GED required.
- Minimum 1-2 years experience required.
- Strong analytical skills
- Basic experience in MS Office
- Ability to work independently and exercise judgment and initiative in dealing with a variety of duties and responsibilities
- Ability and aptitude to use various types of databases and other computer software
- Ability to prioritize
- Knowledge of MRP systems
