Production Planner I

The Fountain Group is currently seeking a Production Planning Clerk for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Scarborough, ME. Details for the position are as follows:
Job Description:

• $19.00 - $21.00/HR based on experience, W2
• 6 month contract initially (Potential to extend/convert to perm based on performance/budget) (100% onsite)
• Responsible for:
  • Work with Manufacturing to ensure supply plan and schedule optimizes manufacturing productivity
  • Responsible for creating daily production orders for continuous production needs.
  • Communicate supply plan to key stakeholders including Manufacturing, Engineering
  • Create and communicate weekly schedule updates
  • Maintain accuracy of Planning information in MRP system (SAP)
  • Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement in Planning and Scheduling processes
  • Other miscellaneous responsibilities as may be assigned
  • General ability in maintaining Microsoft excel files

• • Minimum HSD/GED required.
  • Minimum 1-2 years experience required.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Basic experience in MS Office
  • Ability to work independently and exercise judgment and initiative in dealing with a variety of duties and responsibilities
  • Ability and aptitude to use various types of databases and other computer software
  • Ability to prioritize
  • Knowledge of MRP systems
