19:00 - 07:00 with 4 weekend days required (Saturday and Sunday nights).

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Oncology unit. This role requires a solid background in Medical/Surgical nursing, with a focus on providing compassionate care to oncology patients. You will be responsible for administering chemotherapy, monitoring patient progress, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, responding to changes as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Document all nursing care and patient interactions in the Meditech system.
• Participate in bedside shift report and safety rounds.
• Engage with patients and families to support education and address concerns.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license in the state of Virginia.
• Experience in Medical/Surgical nursing; oncology experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with chemotherapy administration is preferred.
