Make a meaningful impact in the lives of middle school students as a paraprofessional supporting classrooms with significant support needs. This contract opportunity offers immediate placement through late May, and you’ll work closely with a dedicated team to foster academic and personal growth for a small group of learners.

Your schedule will provide a balance of consistency and flexibility, with 35 hours per week: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday (8:40 am–3:50 pm) and Wednesday (9:40 am–3:50 pm). You’ll focus your efforts in a 6th–8th grade classroom, working with a caseload of just five students who benefit from individualized support and encouragement.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Experience as a paraprofessional or in a related school support position.
• Strong desire to help students with significant support needs achieve their highest potential.
• Ability to collaborate with teachers, therapists, and staff in a supportive environment.
• Positive, adaptable attitude and excellent communication skills.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, respectful, and engaging classroom atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct support and guidance to students in both academic and social settings.
• Assist classroom teacher in lesson delivery, behavior management, and daily routines.
• Adapt activities and materials to meet students’ individual needs.
• Advocate for student inclusion and participation in all aspects of school life.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate student progress to the educational team.
