School Speech Language Pathologist - Roanoke, VA

Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

• Valid state licensure and current SLP certification required
• Experience working with Early Childhood, Elementary, Middle, and High School populations
• Strong knowledge of IEP processes, assessments, and goal setting
• Familiarity with speech, language, and communication disorders in educational settings
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Collaborative approach to working with multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to adapt interventions to suit a range of developmental levels

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and speech-language evaluations for a diverse caseload
• Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor student progress
• Deliver direct therapy services across Pre-K, elementary, middle, and high school settings
• Participate in IEP meetings, providing valuable insight and recommendations
• Maintain detailed documentation in compliance with educational and legal standards
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student success
• Provide training and resources to staff and families as needed
