About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Endoscopy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (08:00 - 16:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years, with more than 1 year of outpatient endoscopy center experience. License: Active Registered Nurse License Certifications: BSN, AHA BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Ability to float to other facilities. Completed references in hand at the time of submission. Description: The position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Endoscopy. The candidate should have pre/post procedure and inpatient experience. Preferred experience includes Trauma I/II. The nurse will administer conscious sedation and manage airway protocols. The role involves circulating procedures such as colonoscopies and EGDs. The nurse should be familiar with operating electrosurgical units and handling specimens. Responsibilities include monitoring conscious sedation and obtaining 12 lead EKGs. Ideal candidates will have experience with polyp snares and recovery from sedation. Daily patient census is 50-60 cases with various age groups. The facility will provide interdisciplinary support, including respiratory services and interpretation services. References from the most recent employer are necessary for submission. The nurse may be reassigned to different departments based on need. Teaching hospital experience is required.
