Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced emergency department nurse for a full-time position. The candidate will work 3 shifts of 12 hours each, from 07:00 to 19:00.

Responsibilities

The emergency department nurse will provide high-quality care to patients in an emergency setting, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure effective treatment and patient safety. Specific responsibilities include:

• Assessing patients' conditions and administering appropriate treatments.
• Monitoring vital signs and documenting patient responses to treatment.
• Administering medications and assist with procedures as necessary.
• Providing support and education to patients and their families.
• Coordinating care with other health professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency department setting.
• Current California nursing license.
• Certified in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS.
• Experience with the Paragon charting system is preferred; training will be provided.
• Ability to float to various units as needed based on patient care requirements.

Additional Requirements

Candidates are required to complete the following courses within 30 days of starting:

• Fire Card Course ($50 enrollment fee)
• Assaultive Behavior Course ($80 enrollment fee)

The position involves working in a dynamic and fast-paced emergency department, frequently involving patient interaction across different age groups. The daily census and patient volume may vary, requiring adaptability and strong communication skills.
