AML Analyst

Our client, a leading financial services organization, is seeking an AML Analyst to join their team. As an AML Analyst, you will be part of the Compliance Department supporting the AML and Financial Crime Prevention teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate analytical thinking, integrity, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: AML Analyst Location: New York, NY Pay Range: What's the Job? Proficiently develop, validate, and review AML, BSA, and KYC models, including transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, alert prioritization, and customer risk rating models. Serve as the auditor-in-charge for internal audits, independently managing audit processes and providing effective challenge to ensure compliance and risk mitigation. Evaluate and validate models leveraging emerging technologies such as Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, and Generative AI for various use cases in financial crime detection. Lead risk-based audit programs, communicate findings to senior management, and develop actionable recommendations aligned with regulatory standards. Maintain a strong understanding of model risk management, data quality assessment, and regulatory compliance across traditional and hybrid analytical models. What's Needed? Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in AML, BSA, or related financial crime prevention roles. Experience developing, validating, or reviewing AML, BSA, and KYC models, including transaction monitoring and customer risk assessment. Expertise in model risk management, data quality, and regulatory compliance across statistical, machine learning, and hybrid models. Strong leadership skills with experience serving as Auditor-in-Charge and managing audit teams. What's in it for me?
