Part-Time Pharmacist

About the Role Insight Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago is seeking qualified pharmacists to assist with inpatient services. The pharmacist will supervise technical staff, verify drug orders, review final products, provide drug consultations, patient counseling, and perform duties as directed by the Director of Pharmacy. Qualifications Graduated from an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy Registered pharmacist in good standing under the laws of the State of Illinois Job Responsibilities Entry and/or verification of drug orders into computer Supervising technical staff Checking the final product prior to dispensing to patients Accepting telephone orders from physicians Providing consultation on drug matters to physicians, nurses and other health care personnel as appropriate Providing clinical services based on approved protocols Supervision and final inspection of packaging or manufacturing processes Patient training and counseling All activities that a technician may perform Other duties as directed by the Director of Pharmacy Benefits Paid Sick Time – effective 90 days after employment Paid Vacation Time – effective 90 days after employment Health, vision & dental benefits – eligible at 30 days, following the 1st of the following month Short and long-term disability and basic life insurance – after 30 days of employment Insight Employees are required to be vaccinated for COVID-19 as a condition of employment, subject to accommodation for medical or sincerely held religious beliefs.
