Service Parts Logistics Planning Manager

The Service Parts Logistics Planning Manager is responsible for leading global demand planning for all 3rd party repair centers and CONMED repair centers, supply planning, and parts availability strategies across the service parts network. This role ensures optimal inventory positioning, high service levels, and cost-efficient operations to support aftermarket and service organizations worldwide.The position partners cross-functionally with supply chain, manufacturing, procurement, regional service operations, and commercial teams to deliver best-in-class service performance and customer satisfaction. This position will drive global transformational activities to develop a world class process.This position reports to Sr. Director- Supply Chain and will work remotely.Key ResponsibilitiesGlobal Demand PlanningLead development of the global service parts demand planning process, including forecasts, validation, and continuous improvementImplement statistical forecasting models and incorporate business intelligence (failures, installed base, lifecycle data)Collaborate with regional teams and commercial partners to align consensus demand plans across geographiesMonitor forecast accuracy, bias, and key KPIs, driving corrective actions as neededManage demand variability and planning strategies for long-tail and intermittent demand partsSupply Planning & Inventory ManagementOwn global supply planning processes to ensure alignment between supply, demand, and inventory targets at repair centersDrive inventory optimization strategies balancing service levels and working capitalDevelop and manage replenishment policies, safety stock strategies, and order parameters at global repair centersCollaborate with manufacturing, procurement, and suppliers to ensure supply continuity and responsivenessLead exception management (shortages, disruptions, constraints) and mitigation plansPart Availability & Service Level PerformanceAccountable for global service parts availability and fill rate performanceEstablish and manage KPIs such as fill rate, backorder levels, lead time adherence, and inventory turnsDrive root cause analysis and corrective actions for service level gapsDevelop strategies to improve critical part availability and reduce downtime impactGlobal Network & Stakeholder LeadershipPartner with regional supply chain teams to standardize planning processes and tools globallyLead S&OP / IBP inputs for service parts demand and supply planningLead product allocation decisions when requiredInfluence cross-functional stakeholders to align on priorities, trade-offs, and execution plansSupport network design and inventory placement strategies for global distribution centersProcess & Systems ImprovementDrive continuous improvement initiatives in planning processes, tools, and data qualityLead implementation and optimization of planning systems (SAP-IBP or other APS and forecasting tools)Establish standard work, governance, and best practices across regionsLeverage analytics and dashboards to enable data-driven decision-makingQualificationsRequiredBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, or related field7–10+ years of experience in global demand planning, supply planning, or service parts logistics1 year of experience managing global or multi-regional supply chain operations1 year of experience with inventory management, forecasting, and supply planning principlesExperience with ERP and planning systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Kinaxis, Blue Yonder)PreferredMaster’s degree or MBAAPICS/ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP)Experience in aftermarket/service parts environments with high SKU complexity and intermittent demandKnowledge of installed base and failure rate forecasting methodologiesExperience leading transformational projectsProven track record of driving service level improvements and inventory optimizationAdvanced analytical and problem-solving skillsKey CompetenciesStrategic thinking with strong execution focusAbility to manage complexity and ambiguity in a global environmentStrong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder managementData-driven decision-making and analytical mindsetLeadership and influence without direct authorityContinuous improvement orientationBenefits:CONMED offers a wide array of benefits to fit your unique needs.
