Certified Respiratory Therapist (PRN) – Centerpoint Medical Center We are hiring a Certified Respiratory Therapist (PRN) to perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in a supportive, team‑based environment. The role requires assessment and treatment of patients with acute and chronic cardiopulmonary dysfunction, and includes monitoring equipment, providing patient education, and documenting care. Responsibilities Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures ordered by a physician under the supervision of the RT Supervisor or Team Leader. Administer medical gases, aerosol therapy, and manage patient testing. Obtain and analyze blood specimens as needed. Operate and maintain respiratory and cardiopulmonary equipment, including mechanical ventilation and artificial airways. Assist with cardiopulmonary resuscitation and other emergency interventions. Provide patient education and monitoring of therapy response. Complete documentation of inpatient and departmental records. Clean equipment and maintain safety and infection control practices. Qualifications Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program. Current Respiratory Therapist license from the State Board for Respiratory Care. National Board for Respiratory Care Certified Respiratory Therapist (NBRC CRT). Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) obtained within 6 months of employment start date. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) obtained within 30 days of employment start date. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) obtained within 6 months of hire.
