Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and driven Construction Manager for a full-time, onsite engagement in Phoenix, Arizona. The successful candidate will serve as an Owner's Representative embedded within a fast-paced, mission-critical construction environment, spending the majority of each day in the field and in coordination meetings — driving contractors, resolving issues, managing schedule risk, and ensuring the facility is delivered safely, on time, and ready for turnover.

Job Responsibilities:

• Attend daily GC morning coordination meetings and review safety concerns, high-risk work activities, manpower levels, and planned work for the day
• Conduct regular site walks to monitor construction progress, verify installations match design, identify quality concerns, and surface schedule risks before they become delays
• Check and coordinate critical deliveries, inspections, and testing activities throughout the project lifecycle
• Lead and participate in OAC (Owner-Architect-Contractor) meetings, schedule reviews, quality reviews, commissioning coordination sessions, and change management discussions
• Coordinate with General Contractors, subcontractors, vendors, designers, and commissioning teams to ensure accountability for commitments and milestones
• Track critical schedule milestones, review contractor recovery plans, and escalate schedule risks to site leadership as needed
• Drive closure of design, construction, procurement, and commissioning issues by coordinating resolution among all relevant stakeholders
• Review and assess Time Impact Analyses (TIAs), Change Order Requests (CORs), RFIs, and scope changes for impacts to cost and schedule
• Reinforce a strong safety culture onsite and ensure all installations meet applicable specifications and standards
• Support integrated system testing (IST), commissioning activities, and operational readiness to remove handover blockers
• Track action items, maintain risk and status logs, and provide executive-level reporting and escalations to site leadership
• Present and explain proposals, reports, and findings to clients and project stakeholders
• Analyze resource needs, technology requirements, and project feasibility to support planning and decision-making
• Review, recommend, or approve contracts and cost estimates in alignment with project goals

Requirements:

• 5 or more years of total construction experience required, with at least 5 years supporting mission-critical, data center, industrial, or other highly technical construction projects
• Demonstrated experience managing large commercial, industrial, mission-critical, or data center projects from field operations through commissioning and turnover
• Experience working directly with General Contractors, subcontractors, designers, and commissioning teams in an Owner's Representative or contract CM capacity
• Proven track record leading field operations, site coordination, and contractor accountability on complex, fast-paced projects
• Background as a Construction Manager, Project Manager, Senior Superintendent, MEP Project Manager, Owner's Representative, or Mission-Critical/Data Center Construction Manager preferred
• Experience with data centers, hospitals, semiconductor facilities, power generation or utility infrastructure, or industrial manufacturing plants is a strong plus
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, construction management, engineering, or a related field required
• PMI or PMP certification preferred
• Must be able to comply with all required PPE and site safety equipment standards including Class 2 safety helmet and vest, cut and impact resistant gloves, ANSI Z87.1 safety glasses or visor, and composite toe leather work boots extending a minimum of 4 inches above the ankle
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present clearly to executive and field-level audiences
• Proven ability to manage safety, quality, schedule, and cost simultaneously on large-scale construction projects
• Deep understanding of MEP systems including electrical, mechanical, controls, and fire protection
• Ability to identify field risks, drive issue resolution, and hold contractors accountable for commitments
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate across GCs, subcontractors, designers, commissioning teams, and ownership groups
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment
• Knowledge of construction scheduling principles, critical path analysis, and recovery planning
• Knowledge of business and management principles including strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods
• Knowledge of quality control processes and techniques for ensuring installations meet design intent and specifications
• Proficiency with MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, and Visio; Bluebeam required; Primavera P6 strongly preferred
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and operate with minimal supervision
