Physician - Otolaryngology

**Job Overview:**

We are looking for an OB-Hospitalist (a doctor who specializes in caring for pregnant women) to join our team in Silvis, IA. 

This is because our services are growing. 

The doctor will provide care for patients of all ages and will work with ENT Professional Services in Davenport, Iowa to help our community.

**Start Date:** As soon as you are approved to work.

**Working Hours:** The clinic is open from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, but the doctor can choose to start earlier or finish earlier based on their preference.

**On-Call Duties:

** The doctor will share on-call responsibilities equally with two local doctors in private practice.

*Weekend Schedule:** Right now, weekends are scheduled at a 1:3 ratio (the doctor works one weekend for every three off), but we want to change that to a 1:4 ratio.

**Work Environment:

** The job includes working in hospitals, clinics, and traveling to different locations. The facility is rated as Trauma Level 3.

**Patient Load:** The number of patients the doctor sees each day will be up to the doctor’s choice.

**Community:

** The area is family-friendly, has low competition, and has many referrals, making it a busy place to work.

**Support:

** There is strong support available in the clinic, the surgery center, and the hospital.

**Technology:** We use Cerner for our electronic medical records (EMR).

**New Graduates:** We are accepting new graduates who will be done with their training by 2025 and are on track to become Board Certified.

**Requirements:**

- Must be Board Eligible (within 3 years of finishing training) or Board Certified in Otolaryngology (ear, nose, and throat specialty) - THIS IS A MUST

- Must have an Iowa medical license (or be willing to get one) - THIS IS A MUST

- Must have ACLS and PALS certifications (or be willing to get them) - THIS IS A MUST

- Must have a clean history with no malpractice issues - THIS IS A MUST

- Willingness to travel to different locations or clinics - THIS IS A MUST

**Certifications Needed:**

- ACLS - Board Certified - Board Eligible

- PALS

**License Requirements:**

- Must have an Iowa medical license.

- Must have a clean malpractice history and be willing to travel.
