Our clinic provides a wide range of medical services, including wellness and geriatric care, full‑body digital radiography, ultrasounds, echocardiograms, endoscopy, complex dentistry with digital radiography, reproductive services, and both general and advanced surgery, such as orthopedics, bone plating, and pinning. We are dedicated to delivering the best care possible, as reflected in our glowing online reviews. The clinic operates Monday‑Friday, 7 am to 5 pm, and Saturday, 8 am to 1 pm. Position Summary A courteous and efficient veterinary practice manager coordinates and manages all office administration procedures. Responsibilities include ordering, inventory management, coordinating schedules, resolving staff conflicts, training staff, and answering pet owners’ questions regarding clinic policies, appointment availabilities, and treatment costs. Successful candidates are patient, detail‑oriented, and adept at multitasking, with strong communication and customer‑service skills. Job Duties Make informal recommendations to the veterinary regional manager concerning personnel matters such as staffing needs, advancement, re‑assignments, and hours of work for receptionists. Direct on‑the‑job training to develop employee skills, advise employees of performance requirements, discuss corrective measures, and prepare performance appraisals. Recruit, hire, onboard staff that fit the hospital culture, and terminate staff that do not follow policies and protocols; handle job descriptions and salary setting. Market the hospital to prospective customers and the veterinary community by attending relevant local and regional events. Resolve informal employee complaints and provide explanations of personnel policies and procedures; maintain effective communication. Work well with all team members and ensure actions support the hospital, the doctors, and the practice philosophy. Ensure accurate assembly of patient records and entry of veterinarians’ orders for diets, tests, and treatments. Accurately enter veterinary terminology and obtain information from owners to complete records and reschedule appointments. Promptly address and resolve pet owners’ complaints. Maintain strong client‑service skills. Prepare employee work schedules and manage the office staff. Provide leadership, communication, and motivational skills; direct and assist a group of individuals. Demonstrate knowledge of English language structure, composition, and grammar. Show unbiased judgment when managing people and make fair recommendations concerning personnel issues or disciplinary action. Answer telephone calls politely and professionally. Establish inventory control to assure adequate supply stocks and monitor product quantities, quality, and price points, including controlled drugs and returns. Implement hospital policies, including DEA/Controlled Substances and OSHA compliance. Ensure payroll is completed accurately and timely. Maintain good relationships with vendors for optimal support. Notify veterinary staff promptly of emergency cases. Interview suitable office staff candidates and provide training as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Experienced or Certified Veterinary Practice Manager with a minimum of 1 year of management experience (preferred) or 3+ years of veterinary experience (preferred). Knowledgeable in veterinary medicine terminology and hospital operations. Compassionate, calm, team player, multi‑tasker, and strong communicator. Highly organized with computer skills. Self‑starter seeking to advance knowledge and skillset. Open availability with flexibility to change hours based on hospital needs. Relocation Assistance Relocation assistance may be provided for qualified candidates. Salary $55,000‑$60,000 annually plus incentives.
