• Salary Range: $320,000 – $347,000
• Sign-on Bonus: up to$100,000

Description

QFP/GWC has been offering high quality, evidence-based primary care in Oneonta since 1994. In 2007, we began embedding transgender and gender diverse (TGD) healthcare into our primary care practice. From 2016‑2019, members of our interdisciplinary team received leadership training from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation to create a rural‑based center for TGD healthcare that provides gender affirming medical, mental health, surgical care, legal advocacy, training/education, and conducts community‑based research. ( We have served over 1800 TGD youth and adults in our family practice.

Job Description & Responsibilities

• Join an established group of 4 FM Practitioners and 3 Mental Health providers in a rural‑based family practice/gender center to provide primary care for cisgender and TGD youth/adults across the lifespan
• Practice within Bassett Healthcare Network, an integrated system delivering care across an 8‑county region
• Become a part of Bassett Healthcare Network, a progressive academic health system and major teaching affiliate of Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons.
• Provide evidence-based, quality primary care to cisgender and TGD youth and adults, including the provision of gender affirming hormone therapy and pubertal suppression
• Half day/week of non‑clinical time for self‑study
• Participate in GWC interdisciplinary rounds and team meetings
• Take part in team activities/grant implementation
• Engage in efforts to ensure diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice in healthcare
• Practice cultural responsiveness and cultural humility

• NYS certification/Licensure as MD/DO
• BLS Certification Required
• Strong clinical, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Leadership skills, commitment to LGBTQ+ healthcare, and interdisciplinary teamwork
• Employs principles of diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice in clinical practice
• DEA Required

Compensation

• Salary Range: $320,000 – $347,000
• This compensation range represents Bassett Healthcare’s good faith belief of the compensation range at the time of this posting or advertisement. Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards
• Residency Stipend: up to $45,000 available up to 18 months prior to graduation
• Sign‑on Bonus: up to $100,000
