We are seeking a Full-Time Dental Assistant who is patient-focused, driven, and eager to make a difference in the lives of our patients every day.

Job Details

As a Dental Assistant at Hernando Smiles, you'll play an essential role in helping our doctors provide excellent clinical care while ensuring each patient feels comfortable, informed, and cared for throughout their visit.

The ideal candidate is friendly, kind-hearted, efficient, and enjoys working in a busy environment where no two days are the same. You'll assist with dental procedures, support patient education, maintain treatment rooms, and contribute to the smooth flow of daily operations.

We're looking for someone who takes pride in delivering exceptional service, works well with a team, and consistently goes above and beyond for patients.

Required Qualifications

• Current Dental Assistant certification or credentials as required by the State of Mississippi
• Strong commitment to patient care and customer service excellence
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting
• Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Reliable, professional, and dependable work ethic
• Ability to multitask and adapt in a dynamic environment
• Experience with dental software and digital technology is preferred
• Passion for creating an exceptional patient experience

Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology Experience working in a patient- or customer-centered environment
• If required under the state dental practice act, dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Completion of Tuberculosis (TB) testing prior to starting employment

Preferred Experience

• Dentrix or other dental software experience
• Dental assisting school certification
