Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate each patient's unique trauma history, ensuring a clear understanding to inform treatment planning. \n
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery and enhance resilience in patients. \n
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), tailored to the specific needs of each patient. \n
- Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, helping clients process their trauma and fostering the development of coping strategies. \n
- Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to provide integrated, holistic care for patients. \n
- Engage in crisis intervention for patients experiencing trauma-related emergencies, ensuring their immediate safety and mental well-being. \n
- Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and available community resources. \n
- Diligently maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation in compliance with all legal and ethical standards. \n
- Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development activities centered on trauma-informed care practices. \n
- Stay abreast of the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to continually enhance the care provided. \n
Your primary focus will be on patients coping with trauma and related disorders. You will support individuals of various backgrounds who have been affected by singular or multiple traumatic events. The compassionate approach you provide will help them address their trauma, build resilience, and regain control over their lives.
Qualifications\n- \n
- A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. \n
- Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in New York State. \n
- A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting preferred. \n
- Strong foundation in understanding trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed treatment modalities. \n
- Demonstrated experience delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions. \n
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to patient care. \n
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations. \n
- Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications. \n
- A collaborative mindset, capable of working effectively within a multidisciplinary team. \n

- Direct experience working with diverse populations recovery from trauma. \n
- Additional certifications or training in trauma-informed care or related methodologies. \n
- Experience in crisis intervention and managing trauma-related emergencies. \n
