SUMMARY

The position of Relationship Banker Lead is responsible for fulfilling our mission of providing customer care, quality service and community support while ensuring smooth branch operations through strong oversight of compliance, risk management, and service delivery while supporting and developing front line staff.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

1. Manages daily operations, vault oversight, and cash control accuracy.
2. Conducts audits, reconciliations, and security reviews to ensure compliance and minimize risk.
3. Enforces regulatory and internal policy adherence across all branch functions.
4. Trains, mentors and supports Relationship Bankers to achieve operational and service excellence.
5. Serves as acting Manager when needed to maintain leadership continuity.
6. Operates personal computer and transaction scanner to process account activity, determine balances, and resolve problems within given authority.
7. Reports malfunctions of equipment as directed.
8. Performs official notary duties upon completion of becoming a Notary Public for the State of Indiana. All required costs associated with certification will be covered by GBC.
9. Answers telephones and directs callers to proper Bank personnel.
10. May gather data and process various reports (e.g., currency transaction, returned items, overdrafts, callbacks, etc.)
11. May assist in opening and closing the vault daily; may assist in balancing vault currency and coin.
12. May type routine letters, reports and forms.
13. Maintains files, copies, scans and faxes documents, and orders and distributes supplies.

18. Performs the position safely, without endangering the health or safety to themselves or others and will be expected to report potentially unsafe conditions. The employee shall comply with occupational safety and health standards and all rules, regulations and orders issued pursuant to the OSHA Act of 1970, which are applicable to one's own actions and conduct.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or related experience and/or training; or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Work related experience should consist of a cash handling and/or customer service background. Educational experience, through in-house training sessions, formal school or financial industry related curriculum, should be business or financial industry related.

• In-depth knowledge of branch operations, compliance standards and risk controls.

• Intermediate skills in computer operation including Microsoft Suite.
• Basic typing skills to meet production needs of the position.
• Basic math skills; calculate interest and balance accounts; add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; locate routine mathematical errors; count currency, coin and negotiable instruments in a timely manner.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions, interpret documents, understand procedures, write reports and correspondence, and speak clearly to customers and employees.
• Ability to deal with routine problems involving multiple facets and variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to work with little to no supervision while performing duties.
• Current driver's license and a vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage if required to drive in the course of performing assigned duties and responsibilities.
