Overview As the HR Business Partner, you will develop and execute HR strategies that support leadership in achieving business objectives within Black & Veatch. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute HR strategies to support leadership in the achievement of business objectives. Provide executive‑level HR consultation. Consult and execute on various HR cyclical activities (Pay Planning, Succession Planning, Performance Review, etc.). Coordinate with COEs and other specialists to execute strategy within the assigned client base. Work collaboratively across parts of BV leadership and HR. Actively participate in the development and execution of talent strategies. Coach leaders to foster high‑performing teams and positive morale across the business. Establish open and trusting relationships with management and professionals. Assist in training development and delivery as needed. Act as a change agent for implementing new HR programs and processes. Drive and engage with appropriate stakeholders on employee relations issues. Advises management on the interpretation of personnel policies, programs and procedures. Analyze and provide advice to management on methods and approaches to resolve employee work problems. Assure HR programs are carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures. Identify and assess improvement opportunities that add value and champion continuous improvement efforts. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree required. 8+ years of progressive HR experience in one or more functional areas. Ability to complete pre‑employment onboarding requirements (background checks, drug screening, etc.). Preferred Qualifications Broad knowledge of all HR functional areas. Strong understanding of HR programs, policies and procedures. Strong understanding of employment law. Strong prioritization and situational adaptability skills. Basic financial acumen to understand key financial indicators. Excellent human relations, influence and negotiation skills. Leadership ability (team building, coaching, mentoring, change management, advising). Strong problem‑solving and conflict‑management skills. Basic understanding of Human Resource Information Systems. Excellent collaboration and communication skills. Strong management and supervisory skills. Location & Physical Demands Onsite presence 5 days a week at the Mansfield, TX office. Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment based upon manager discretion, job performance and work assignments.
