Overnight RN School Nursing Opportunity

Embark on a fulfilling opportunity as an overnight RN specializing in school nursing at a renowned educational setting for students with diverse needs. This contract role offers the chance to provide critical care and support for pediatric populations in a nurturing environment. The position is based onsite and covers overnight shifts from 11pm to 7am, Sunday through Thursday, running through June 2026.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to students during overnight hours, addressing acute and chronic health concerns.
• Administer medications and treatments per physicians orders, while adhering to individualized healthcare plans.
• Conduct regular assessments, intervene in emergencies, and monitor ongoing health needs.
• Document all interventions, observations, and reports accurately in student health records.
• Collaborate closely with other nursing staff and educational professionals to promote students physical and emotional well-being.
• Maintain open communication with guardians, teachers, and specialists, ensuring seamless continuity of care.
• Uphold infection control policies and school safety standards at all times.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license in Pennsylvania.
• Minimum of three years recent nursing experience, with at least two years in a pediatric setting.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred.
• Previous experience in school nursing or with students who are visually impaired is a plus.
• Strong assessment skills and the ability to work independently through overnight hours.
