Infusion Pharmacy Technician

UC Health is hiring an Infusion Pharmacy Technician in our infusion pharmacy department at UC Medical Center. We're offering a $7,500 sign-on bonus!

Infusion pharmacy technicians work collaboratively within the UC Medical Center infusion centers dedicated to providing comprehensive care to patients with cancer and other infusion medication needs. Infusion pharmacy technicians perform hazardous and non-hazardous sterile compounding through best practices and support of compounding technology. Infusion pharmacy technicians are essential members of the collective interprofessional infusion teams.

Responsibilities include engaging in population appropriate communication, procuring and distributing medication orders per prescriber request, maintaining adequate stock of medications and supplies, contributing to the effective operation of the department, and participating in the quality improvement activities of the department. Additionally, the role requires meeting hospital and department standards of performance and performing other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications include a minimum required high school diploma or GED equivalent, current pharmacy technician registration by the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy, and current certified technician certificate. Preferred degree is an associate degree. Minimum required experience is three years, with five years preferred. Required skills include the ability to work independently, handle frequent interruptions, adapt to changes in workload, communicate effectively, and meet the pharmaceutical care needs of the patient populations served by UC Health.

Expected starting salary range for this position is between $25.04/hr.- $33.19/hr. The actual pay rate for this position will be dependent on a variety of factors, including an applicant's years of experience, unique skills and abilities, alignment with similar internal candidates, marketplace factors, and other requirements for the position.
