Physical Therapist (PT) – PRN Resolute Rehabilitation at Cornerstone Specialty Hospitals Round Rock is a 12‑bed inpatient rehabilitation unit located at 4681 College Park Drive in Round Rock, Texas . The unit assists patients recovering from serious illness, injury, or surgery—especially those transitioning from intensive care. Patients receive approximately 15 hours of therapy per week, coordinated by a multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, and therapists. Staff use advanced rehabilitation equipment in a patient‑centered environment. Responsibilities As a PRN Physical Therapist, you will evaluate and conduct medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs, provide educational information to patients regarding injury prevention, ergonomics, restorative therapy, and rehabilitation therapy, and supervise physical therapy assistants and aides in performing treatment. Essential Functions Perform initial and ongoing assessments of patient condition. Establish an appropriate plan of care that involves the patient according to their capabilities and desires. Plan, prepare, and carry out individually designed programs of physical treatment to maintain, improve, or restore physical functioning, alleviate pain, and prevent physical dysfunction. Perform therapy interventions utilizing standard physical therapy techniques and skills appropriate for the patient’s age and condition. Direct and supervise physical therapy assistants, students, and other support personnel; assess competence, delegate specific tasks, and establish communication channels. Administer treatment involving the application of physical agents, equipment, moist packs, ultraviolet and infrared lamps, and ultrasound machines. Evaluate, fit, and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices and recommend modifications. Identify and document goals, anticipated progress, and plans for reevaluation. Qualifications and Requirements Education: Bachelor’s Degree (required). Licenses: Physical Therapist License in Texas. Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) obtained within 30 days of hire. Must possess critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment.
