Scope The Department of English, Philosophy & Religion in the Getty College of Arts & Sciences at Ohio Northern University welcomes applicants for a part‑time, adjunct faculty position in English. Candidates with backgrounds in all areas of English will be considered. This individual will serve as the instructor of record for first‑year writing, business writing, or other courses as assigned. Introductory creative writing and science/technical writing may also be available. Typical assignments include one to three courses each semester, depending on student demand. Required Skills The successful candidate will demonstrate good interpersonal skills, as well as the interest and ability to mentor students both inside and outside the classroom. Candidates with experience teaching undergraduate, introductory English courses are encouraged to apply. Minimum Qualifications Master’s degree in English or 18 hours graduate coursework in English is required. Those with a doctorate in English and experience teaching English at the university level are encouraged to apply.
