Production Supervisor

Overview Ameristar Perimeter Security USA, an ASSA ABLOY branded company, is hiring a Production Supervisor. The role leads hourly manufacturing employees in a fast‑paced production environment to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity objectives while ensuring compliance with company policies, quality standards, and environmental requirements. Key Responsibilities Safety Leadership – promote and maintain a safe work environment, conduct safety meetings, audits, investigations, and corrective actions. Production Management – supervise daily operations to meet schedules and customer requirements, monitor labor utilization, machine performance, and production efficiency, and ensure production targets and KPIs are achieved. Quality Assurance – ensure products meet established quality standards, perform root cause analysis, monitor scrap, rework, and first‑pass yield metrics, and support quality audits. Employee Leadership & Development – coach and develop production employees, conduct performance evaluations, address employee relations issues, and support training and succession planning. Continuous Improvement – lead Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement activities, identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance, and utilize data and metrics for operational decisions. Communication & Coordination – collaborate with Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Human Resources; participate in production planning meetings; communicate expectations and performance results to the team; and escalated operational issues as needed. Candidate Requirements High school diploma or GED required. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field preferred. 3‑5 years of manufacturing leadership experience supervising hourly production employees. Knowledge of safety regulations, quality systems, and production processes. Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and manufacturing systems. Ability to work flexible schedules as required. Preferred Qualifications Experience in metal fabrication, welding, coating, roll forming, or automated manufacturing operations. Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience. Experience with ERP systems and production metrics reporting. Bilingual communication skills are a plus.
