Location: Seaside, Oregon, United States Employment Type: Full-Time Work Setting: Onsite Shift: Night Shift The ideal candidate is an Ultrasound Technologist / Diagnostic Medical Sonographer who is eligible for or currently holds the required Oregon sonography license and ARDMS certification.

Strong Candidates Will Have:

Current Oregon Sonographer License or Oregon Sonographer Temporary License Current American Heart Association BLS Current ARDMS certification, or board eligibility with the ability to obtain ARDMS certification within 6 months of hire Diagnostic ultrasound clinical experience Preferably 2+ years of clinical diagnostic ultrasound experience Strong patient-care skills and the ability to perform examinations while considering individual, special, and age-related patient needs New graduates may be considered if they meet the board-eligibility and Oregon temporary licensing requirements

Key Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations according to physician orders. Operate and utilize a variety of sophisticated ultrasound equipment. Produce accurate, high-quality diagnostic images. Adjust examinations and imaging techniques based on individual patient needs. Account for special and age-related considerations during examinations. Follow established departmental procedures, clinical standards, and safety requirements. Maintain a patient-focused approach throughout diagnostic procedures. Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals. Maintain appropriate documentation related to ultrasound examinations. Support the hospital's commitment to quality, safety, and whole-person patient care.

Required Qualifications

Education: Education sufficient to meet applicable certification, licensing, and registration requirements.

Licensure & Certifications

Candidate must meet the following requirements:

Oregon Sonographer License OR Oregon Sonographer Temporary License required upon hire National Provider BLS American Heart Association required upon hire ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography certification required within 6 months (180 days) of hire New Graduate Requirements New graduates may be considered but must: Board eligible for ARDMS certification upon hire. Obtain ARDMS certification within 6 months of hire. Have an OBMI temporary license upon hire. Obtain the required permanent Oregon license within 6 months of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

2+ years of clinical experience in diagnostic ultrasound Previous hospital or healthcare diagnostic imaging experience Strong knowledge of diagnostic ultrasound procedures and equipment Strong patient communication and interpersonal skills
