As a Security Officer Access Driver Enhanced Part Time in Columbus, MS , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $16.00 / Hour

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, credential verification, and visitor management at an industrial location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorizations for people and/or vehicles, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas, production spaces, and perimeter gates.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting security-related activities and communicating relevant information to site contacts and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, parking areas, and perimeter, observing for unusual activity, equipment issues, and/or conditions that may require a security-related response.
• Support site operations by coordinating access for deliveries, vendors, and/or contractors, following posted procedures and maintaining accurate logs, reports, and pass records.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
